What’s your favourite holiday destination as a family?

We frequently fly to the States to visit the American half of the family and love exploring brunch spots in Brooklyn and my hometown, Philadelphia (Philly’s Please Touch Musuem is a kid’s dream come true).

What’s your first family holiday memory?

I was so excited for Emma’s first swim in Sicily when she was 8 months old (as an American, the fact that her first dip would be in the Mediterranean felt very exotic) that I lugged two baby swimsuits, two sun hats and a massive infant float from Jojo Maman Bebe in my easyJet hand luggage to prepare for the occasion. She was happy enough on the beach, but as soon as her feet hit the water she freaked out and we had to abort the mission. Better luck next time!

What’s on your family holiday wish list?

Driving the Skeleton Coast in Namibia and — when we’re ready for the super-long-haul flight with a kid in tow — Australia.
