What’s your first family holiday memory?
As a child, we quite often went to the north Wales coast for holidays as the nearest stretch of seaside. I remember terrifying donkey rides and a sandstorm whipping across the beach at Rhyl, although for some reason I still look back very fondly on those trips to the beach.
What would you take on a desert island?
If I’m being sensible, sunblock as I fry at the first ray of sun. Otherwise, my Kindle and some kind of solar-powered charger/wifi device, as the chance to relax under a palm tree reading books would make me very happy.
What’s on your family holiday wishlist?
I’d love to go to Burma when my daughter’s a bit older – my sister-in-law comes from there, so I’m hoping she’ll give me good tips on what to see apart from my top three must-sees of Yangon, Bagan and Inle Lake.
